USDOT/MODOT BRIDGE PROJECT

 Temporary lane dividers installed.
Various construction materials and storage container added...
 Safety railings for personal protection.
 Eye-level overview of the scene.
PALUMBO was selected as the contractor for this project...in a non-corrupt type of way.

CLLX 9012 & 9011

Chicago/Consolidated Locomotive Leasing 9011 and 9012 get their daily inspections before heading out into the real world on March 20, 2013.

WAY BEFORE RAPIDO BRO

Way back when, before Rapido came out with their (better/best) interpretation, CMPS built nearly ten variations of Amtrak's NPCU "cabbage" cars.

AMTK 90215 rolled out of the shops on Sept 26, 2012.

NO PARKING

Signage laid out in MS word and printed on "regular" paper, then applied to small strips of foil insulation tape as a backing material. Light weathering applied using watered-down acrylic craft paint.

CHAIN LINK FENCING

Low-cost security: piano wire from some long-forgotten project, tulle, and a single strand of 18AWG wire wrapped around a bamboo skewer. Posts are on 8' centers and height without barbed wire is 6'...probably not as tall as a commercial application should be though.

Small drops of superglue hold it all together.

UNWEATHERED

After being inspired by Jim over at the JSSX Railway, I finally built up the courage to make my own chain-link fencing.

I could not find a 1/87 scale Masterlock, however...

HLCX 6399

After some attention from CMPS, HLCX 6399 was released for service on July 28, 2013.

CONRAIL 3278/1971

Conrail power that rolled out of the CMPS shops on August 27, 2013.
